Storm Recovery

UPDATE:

Union County has been declared for FEMA Disaster Assistance for damages from Hurricane Helene.  Union County residents who suffered home damages and losses due to Hurricane Helene are eligible to file a claim with FEMA.  To apply, residents may call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362, apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, or apply by downloading the FEMA App from their phone’s app store.  If any resident has already filed a claim with FEMA for Hurricane Helene, they should call FEMA back to update their claim, since Union County is now declared.

This assistance is available for Hurricane Helene only.  Our office and the Florida Division of Emergency Management are pushing FEMA to hopefully get Union County declared for Hurricane Debby damage assistance (we had much less residential damages during that storm), and we will update residents who experienced Hurricane Debby damages if we eventually get declared for that storm.  We do not expect to get declared for Hurricane Milton at this time, since we fortunately fared so well.

United States Congressional Representative Kat Cammack’s office will be setting up an event, possibly later next week, to assist residents will FEMA claim issues and other issues they may be having.  We will let you know as soon as that is scheduled.
